AL24 Processing interpolates signals that have been lost when the source was
recorded as digital data and reproduces the original analog waveform. By producing
an analog waveform that is as close as possible to the one that existed when the digital
recording was made, it is possible to enjoy the realism of a concert hall, for instance,
where the music contains reverberations and other delicate details.
- Compressed Audio Restorer, to enhance digital music files
During playback of compressed audio sources such as WMA and MP3, Compressed
Audio Restorer interpolates data that has been lost during compression in order to
restore the original condition as closely as possible and correct the sense of volume in
the low range. When these audio files are played through the S-5BD, it is possible to
enjoy a quality of sound that is very close to the original prior to compression.

• Audyssey Dynamic Volume™ & Dynamic EQ™

Dynamic Volume solves the problem of large variations in
volume level between television programs, commercials, and
between the soft and loud passages of movies.
Dynamic EQ solves the problem of deteriorating sound quality
as volume is decreased by taking into account human
perception and room acoustics.

• Remote Control Unit with buttons designed
for easy operation
Frequently-used buttons are arranged on the front, while
buttons used less frequently are placed on the rear.
Frequently-used buttons are also larger and given different
colours for easy identification.

• One Touch Play function (*1) (*2)
The remote control unit includes a One Touch Play button
that automatically turns on power to the TV, switches the
TV’s input line, and immediately starts the movie.

*2) This function may not work with some settings on other devices.

• Remote Setup Guidance
The S-5BD’s remote control unit can be preset while viewing
the TV screen so that it also operates the A/V devices of other
manufacturers. It does not require the trouble of entering each
code one by one based on instructions in the manual.
