Now here are the same pics after touched up in NC 4.4. BTW, the pics were shot in RAW.
Again the top one was 50/2 and the bottom one was Af 50 1.4
Initial observation, the exposure is more accurate, the 50/2 is constantly underexposed by 1 stop, probably because the 50 1.4 is a "D" lens and the environment is of low light and mixed color temperature. However, the 50/2 has a better straight out of camera sharpness. After tweaking both pics, I still like the 50/2 better, but the 50 1.4 is more convenience. |

Did a non scientific test tonight, but the result is quite interesting.
Here are 2 photos shot in almost the same condition. The top one was shot with MF AI 50/2 and the bottom one was shot with AF 50 1.4D. Both pics were untouched.
The ISO and f-stops are the same, the shutter speed only varied by a stop.
