各位兄弟,
關於火牛問題, 我一年前都試過, 當時都有 d 煩惱, 但之後都解決左, 我的方法好簡單, 就是我之前買左幾個外置 harddisk 做 backup (WD, Imaation, Hitachi..), 每個都有火牛跟, 全都是 12V.2A的, 反正我唔會同一時間用, 隨便拿一個給 MTV 3000 就可以, 我用左一年都冇問題, 不過 MTV5000 可能唔夠力, 可能要 4A 先得....
希望幫到火牛有問題 ge 朋友啦

多謝Peter 兄指教,我是用色差線加音頻線插電視, HDMI開了BITSTREAM 插AV-AMP的,而出現窒聲的情況是在電視上的,不過經你提點,下次會嘗試在窒聲時,觀察AV-AMP是否也有相同情況.謝謝幫忙! |

那紅色的LED會亮, 但on了那MagicTV後, 那紅色的LED會熄滅. 看來那switching power supply 不能有 loading.

Your problem is not likely to be caused by a faulty power supply. Please try setting Bitstream to Off, and check the sound in HDMI audio and analog audio output. If both types of audio output exhibit the problem you mentioned, you may bring your Magic TV to the service centre for checking. |

各位師兄, 小弟有部MTV-5000近排經常出現窒聲的問題,轉一轉台佢就會回復正常,曾檢查過天線連接及軟件昇級等還是解決不了窒聲的問題,打去MAGIC-TV問,佢有話想唔到問題的關鍵所在,小弟想想吓,唔知會否同火牛的供電不穏定有關呢?想請教一下各位師兄,MTV-5000的火牛是否與其他型號的規格一樣, 用12V-5A的火牛呢? |

其實一般的 notebook 火牛都得, 在腦場買到的通常是大廠出品

火牛是magic tv 的死穴，去維修站買回一隻火牛要 hk$150，款式一樣(其實d火數係唔係唔夠力，隻火牛又熱又易壞)，
問你怕唔怕........(又要賺多次你錢)
維修站又遠又早關門，上班一族要拿部機去維修，只可以在星期六才有時間，叫佢地加多幾個維修站有冇反應.......(方便佢地，麻煩用家)

it seem that the staff don't make any suggestions to the firmware error and disappeared very quickly,
forgot to mention that my original PSU of MTV3000 only lasted around half year, because of 臭味..... |

火牛係咪主要果 voltage 啱 (eg. 12V) 就得? 個 Ampere rating (eg. 3A), 有多都唔怕 (用 4A, 5A都得?), 有少就唔得 (驚 overload, overheat ?)  |

各位如果想買火牛的師兄, 不如好似我咁去 鴨記 買隻 SUPER SP50 的 12V 5A 穏壓火牛($120蚊雞)
(Switching DC Power Supply) 起碼有牌子, 又穏定...
好過買那些都唔知什麼來歷的 12V 3A, 4A 火牛, 講真我自己真係唔敢買那些..
都唔知會唔會用用下著火的 !!!!!  |

他境然話12W, 但說明書寫18w, 火牛問題根本是心知肚明.....

無用架！就算email給MagicTV，和在這裡留言，他們都係不回覆，就算打電話給MagicTV，佢地都會叫你回廠檢查，(這是軟件問題，回廠檢查有用嗎？)
完全同意ttttt，我根本就係想要穩定和錄影出來可以看到，就是一部機頂盒的簡單要求，我不要什麼無線上網，什麼iEPG，
現在錄影，常常擔心錄出來會不會又係得一秒。
我覺得MagicTV 應該要改名，叫做Windows Me TV。 |

who dare to buy their up coming new models?
i have 3000 & 5000D i buy them because of nice graphic interface and very easy operation.
its sad that stability never in their consideration for such a good product. |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
