5.03 用左 2日, so far ok!
"網上遙距預約錄影" 都 work, 但 MTV3000 唔 show 我o既預約.
我想知個功能o既機制
其實係咪 set 完預約錄影", 到時到候由網上通知我部 MTV3000 錄影? 
又或者係網上直接 edit 我o既預約清單?

It actually happened to me in the past long weekend. My MTV3000 hung at the start of the first recording. Lucky me was that I had also set my MTV5000 as backup. Both are running 5.02. Anyway, the MTV3000 had the same hanging problem even with 4.x firmware. |

hi chiuchi, I can't find much info about this Techgear N121 300Mbps Wireless USB adapter. I think it's not supported on Magic TV.
Please check Magic TV FAQ at http://www.magictv.com/hk/zh-b5/support.html check the list under question: 我可以使用Wi - Fi連接到互聯網？
I suggest the LevelOne WUA-0603. Price is under HK$100. It works on all Magic TV models.

I used Techgear N121 300Mbps Wireless USB adapter but MTV3100D can't detect the wifi signal.

部 MTV3000 update firmware 5.03 以來首遇問題，禽日放工返屋企見部機 hanged 左，時間顯示係 11:55。
假如我出門幾日前諗住 set 好哂 timer recording 每日錄劇集，滿心歡喜諗住返黎一次過煲哂咁多集，面對咁既景況點攪？ |

I found the solution:
Turn off and on the STB and then press MANY TIME on "pause" botton (Yellow) until see the resue mode on TV screen and re-install firmware.

Today when i do firmware upgrade from 5.02 -> 5.03 for my MTV3000, it restarted after upgrade and the MTV LCD only display (Magic TV) and did not load up.  Maybe the firmware crashed, this had happen before and the Magic tech teach me to upgrade again by using the remote (I forgot what button), anyone remember and can teach me????? I am unable to watch HDTV now..... OR anyone know a way to fix it??? |

The QA (or lack of it) of the MTV firmware reminds me of the first company I worked for where I heard that quite often, there were these 2 senior system programmers who banged up some new code in an all-nighter following a beer drinking session, and then said "ship it!" and really did ship it to live systems the following day. |

up 左5.02...同一問題, 一按rewind彈番去十幾分鐘....

我係用 MTV3100D 的, up 完個 5.02 就發現左一個好嚴重的問題,
就係當兩個台同時錄影時, 兩個錄影出來的檔案都有 花畫面 的情況,
單一個台錄影就無問題 !! downgrade 番落 4.01 就完全回復正常了 !!
所以個人覺得, MTV 現在最緊要做的, 唔係再為 firmware 加入新功能,
而係用多些金錢和心機去請過一班 *新的* 寫 firmware 的 Programmers,
重新整理和切底修改過晒所有型號的 firmware, 達致比較完美和穏定的版本,
尋回消費者對你們 Magic TV 的信心. 沒有了消費者們的良好口碑...
你們公司的產品功能多到識飛上太空都無人會再買吧 !!!  |

大半年前的我，也是對 Magic TV 的 STB 推崇備置的，初出的 interface 精簡清晰易用，連不黯AV的家人和朋友都好易上手, 但自 firmware 3.03b 後, 情況逆轉, bugs, hang 機, reboot 等, 越見嚴重，令人卻步，又被因我推介而購入後期產品的朋友埋怨,因hang 機, reload firmware, emergency repair對他們來講是外星語言，摸不著頭腦的事情！\
多次期待有更新更穩定的 firmware, 但一次又一次的落空, 現在衹有"快快樂樂"地用回 Magic TV 有史以來最穩定的 3.03b firmware !
我們要的是穩定、可用、可靠的 firmware, 我寧取一部性能可靠的 大發仔, 猶勝隨時拋錨、周身毛病的林寶堅尼 !  |

MTV3000一話有消息出我就o係瘋記訂貨，都算係第一批用家。
同其他用家一樣，我都遇到各位遇到既熱門問題，包括風扇嘈、死遙控、死火牛，亦因為咁認識左冇雷公咁遠既科學園。
Hardware問題都算喇，firmware方面係咪應該做好o的呢？ 我好欣賞 MagicTV經常更新 firmware，加入好多有用既新 features。 但係一部機頂盒最重要係 reliable，預較錄影冇失拖，唔會無情情錄出黎得一秒長，又或者係 hang左機錄唔到。基本野攪唔掂玩幾多花晨都冇用。
就新 firmware 5.02網友遇到既問題 (我都 Up左，暫時未遇到) ，俾人既感覺係 release前根本冇做好 testing。
須知道 MTV既 set top box同其他牌子比都算係貴價貨，產品應該有相應既質素。
原本都諗住入部 MTV 7000D，都係要睇定的，費事錢使左又勞氣。 $3,980話多唔多，唔買 set top box加o的錢都可以入部 blu-ray player.
以前聽到同事、朋友想買機頂盒都推薦 MagicTV，宜家唔敢喇，費事俾人話我整蠱佢。 |

Besides, When turned on the machine this evening, it hanged with the message "PlS WAIT L2". Had to restart once more. |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP. 
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
