用 MTV3000 format 一次會好d，EX2 會穩定過fat32
而如果容量係細過500GB，買番黎之後，直接用MTV3000 format 就得，大過500GB就要用Partition Magic format EXT 2，
所以買500GB就最方便

至於本人在升級了2.03Beta後遇到的情況,是否該Beta版問題或是我的MTV3000問題,請問可否分享或幫助解答一下? 但奇怪的是,預設錄影功能(EPG)今晚又出現翻「星期一至五」和「星期二至六」給選擇,究竟什麼時候有「星期一至五」、「星期二至六」和什麼時候會自動隱藏呢?
我之前的問題重復如下---------------------------------------------------
1. 定時錄影開始後,按Stop掣不能終止,如要取消錄影怎麼辦。以前是會問你是否停止錄影!
2. 如將setup轉為英文,所有預設錄影清單原本是中文都變晒做英文,但錄影完後節目名又變反中文。預設錄影清單可否跟據預設錄影時用家所選定的語言,相信錄影完後節目名已改為跟用家所選定的語言。
3. 預設錄影功能初時有出現「星期二至六」給選擇,不知那裏,後期又不見了,只剩下「每天」和「每週一次」,連「星期一至五」的選項都不見了。

甚麼是「自動資訊橫幅」? 怎樣進行Group Operation去選擇預設錄影清單,每當按Enter(右下角)沒有反應? |

Upgraded to Firmware 2.03 Beta. Color and brightness appear to have darkened. Moreover, the STB hung 2 times within 30 min watching. While the video was frozen up, the optical SPDIF continued to output normally. I had to switch off and then switch back on to solve the problem. FYI, I have a 500 GB external Buffalo Disk Station (formatted in Ext 3) attached to the MTV3K. In addition, there is one scheduled weekly recording set. |

ex2會穩定d，同埋一個 file 可以10GB，
但fat32就一個file最多4GB，錄一個鐘高清節目要分兩個files

I've the following problems:
1) During a schedule recording, if the signal variation makes the MTV3k to reboot, it can't be returned back to standby mode after the recording end time.
2) Sometimes, I found out that the date/time in the panel is wrong. Is it due to the case that there is no EPG data for the particular channel when I standby the MTV3k?
The image quality and user interface are exceptionally good for MTV3k. Thanks to PM for the efforts. However, just don't know if there is something wrong in the signal or my MTV3k. During these 2 weeks, I always experienced no signal or signal too weak for a prolong period (1-2 hours) randomly during the day. It only happened for frequency 586MHz and affected only the TVB HD, J2, TIC. When I checked with the signal monitor, the signal strength bar jumped between ~75% to 0% and signal quality bar jumped between ~70% to 0% frequently. During this abnormal period, if I switched to check all those other channels at frequency 482 and 602, all of them received normally with signal quality 100%! I'm living in Ma On Shan Sunshine City Phase 4. I'm already using the public TV system and used a TV signal booster right after the wall socket. Any c hing also has this issue during these 2 weeks?
From other forums, it seems that there are many reported cases that different channels are not receiving properly in different areas. I would like to suggest PM to add a signal logging function so that if turns on, it can log to a text file in the HDD at 1 second interval with timestamp (CCYYMMDD-HH:MM:SS), programme ID (eg. 85 for TVB HD, ...), channel frequency (586, 482, ...), signal strength %, signal quality %. This can help us to analyze the pattern of when the signal problem occurs so that we can take further subsequent investigations or actions. |

Up-graded to the latest firmware.
My TV is a 6 year old Hitachi Plasma.
1080P 50/60Hz, 720P 60Hz working now, however, 1080i is the best in my case.
The problem of out of intermittent out of sync reduced, but still happens. Check the signal strength use the sign check function of the MTV, signal strength range for 70 -80, quanlity 100%.
Thanks PM issue these firmware which bring better functions from time to time, please help to solve the out of sync issue.

好似提過話可以，所以如果 hardisk 大過 500GB 就自己 format to ex3，MTV3000 就認到個 harddisk

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend!  This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP. 
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
