雖然容量的事我不太清楚, 但我同意有 節目預錄 暫停選項, 好似我平時SET好左逢星期日錄 獎門人 咁, 今個星期長左, 我又SET多一個錄影, 結果出左2個錄影, 都幾煩, 如果有一個叫 節目預錄 暫停選項, 咁我可以HOLD住之前果個預錄, 再加入今個星期果個, 錄完之後, 我自己又可以還原番舊果個獎門人預錄, 咁就正啦.
提意在預錄清單中, 在那一項中按 "暫停" 鈕, 就可以不理會此項錄影, 再在那一項按 "播放"鈕 就可以還原... 咁就完美.

我都有 Acadeez 的問題. 試過錄緊野時睇 playback, 中間時間會 hang, 應該係因為當時錄緊的節目 signal 有問題, 但係唔會 hang 死, 等一會自然 resume 番, 之後睇番當時錄緊的節目會發覺有D 位 skip 咗. 呢個問題係近期才有, 唔太清楚係 signal 弱的問題, 還是 firmware 2.08 的問題. 我會試下 downgrade 番去 2.06 睇下會唔會好D.
另外我發覺 2.08 因為同台都可以重疊錄, 令到如果我有一些已 set 好重覆錄影的 programme 因電視台節目調動時, 以前(2.06)可以用新的 programme set high priority 去 override, 用2.08 就一定一齊錄. 要用 double 的 space. 其實可唔可以好似以前 set priority 咁, 當發覺同台有 conflict 時, 俾 user 決定一齊錄定揀其中一個錄?

Overlapped recording does not use double HDD space. It uses the same amount of HDD space based on intelligent same file sharing among multiple overlapped recordings of the same channel. |

all SI unit should be multiple of 1000. Computer guys just define 10-bit, 1024, as 1K for convenience, as it is very close to 1K.
But if more units are introduced, the more inaccuracy would introduced.
There is a new STANDARD definition for 1024 multiple based units:
1024B = 1KiB
1024KiB = 1GiB
1024TiB = 1TiB
... etc
MTV3000 format the disk as EXT2, it has a few percentage reserved for super user / root, for administration purposes
and for against fragmentation.

HD manufacturer define 1GB=1000000000Byte, but OS won't lie,actually 1GB =1024*1024*1024B=1099511627776B
So manufacturer claimed 500GB equal to 500000000000/1099511627776=465.66GB |

This is exactly capacity of HDD (500Gb) in the market.
e.g. 1Mb = 1024Kb.
so, 500,000,000 Kb around 467Gb

用magictv menu 去format , 再去check下佢幾多, 佢顯示466 G.

I have exactly the same 茶煲阿四 scheduled recording on my development system. It is working normally. As long as Magic TV has received the latest EPG data from broadcast, it will be able to change the title to the latest one upon record stop. So, the next time you have that recording, please check whether you have received the latest EPG data by pressing GUIDE button or (i) button while viewing the recording channel one minute before the record stop time. |

有個問題想問一下
部mtv3000唔知點解開機睇一陣之後就會有"沒有信號,請檢查天線"既字樣出現
但係我都幾肯定唔係信號既問題,
因為向佢出呢句野前我check接收率是70-80%!
就算restart左部機睇一陣又出過句野.根本冇辦法睇到!
夠竟可以點做!? |

Arcadeez hing, you already reported the problem a few days ago. It's a known issue and will be fixed in the next update. In the meanwhile, you can downgrade to older firmware if needed.

辛苦哂 Li On 兄及 MagicTV o既員工。
起初 upgrade 上 2.08 都無乜事，但越用越有問題。
有時會停左 1 - 2 秒無聲 (replay 時)。
又試過 2 次 hang 機，要熄後面大制。
每次 hang o既情況一樣，就係一邊錄，一邊 reply 之前o既recording，
當錄完個時，會有時 hang機 (so far 兩次)。請多跟進。
我好大力推介朋友買 MagicTV ，但如果問題太多，我都唔知點交代…。

之前問過可不可以在將來firmware 加多有一選項關於HDMI Colour Space 輸出, 現在HDMI輸出應該係RGB, 可不可以加埋有colour space YCbCr選擇.
請問這功能可不可以加上尼?

My personal experience to share with everyone: this morning I replaced my home TV+FM antenna socket (probably cheap, installed about 9 years ago) with a Maspro TV antenna socket (made in Japan) I borrowed from Magic TV support staff. Using the Magic TV signal monitor, the signal strength for 586MHz (i.e. TVB HD channel) increased from average 65 to average 70. 
All cables and connections remain exactly the same. Needless to say I'm not returning the socket. I don't know how much I'll be charged though. |

cowegg hing, the current firmware supports up to 750G USB harddrive format only, 1T format is not yet fully working. You can try format the 1T on a PC first (in whatever format), then try to format on the MagicTV again. If it still fail, you will need to wait for the next firmware update which should hopefully fully support 1T formatting...

since MTV can detect HDMI audio ON signal(as shown in the panel),
so when my TV is connected to MTV via HDMI,
can MTV have a feature to set "Turn On MTV from standby mode when HDMI signal is ON" 
This will be so convenient |

Thanks for the information about LCN. Then better stick to my 2nd suggestion then -
2. Like other TVs, postpone the one-touch button for a second, if we press 1, wait for a second for the second button. If a second button is pressed, we are using a default channel and switch to the channel (like the normal way). If no button is pressed after a second, we are using the one-touch way and switch to the customised channel. |

Added: How to access (read/write) MTV3000 Formatted (EXT2 Format) USB harddrive in Windows PC? On the PC, please install a EXT2 driver for Windows, such as http://www.fs-driver.org/
Tomorrow (Friday), hopefully, We will try to release a firmware update for the MTV3000 with USB harddrive recording function, for user to have fun with recording over the weekend! This firmware will have some software bugs and may not function 100% perfect. Please treat it as a "beta" release!  After we collect feedback from users, we will release a update version ASAP.
With the recording firmware, it can directly record to a FAT32 harddrive, or it can "format" a USB drive in EXT2 format up to 500G.
We suggest to use a USB harddrive with "auto Power On/Off" function. Some brand name USB harddrives we tested support the auto On/Off function, such as the Buffalo DriveStation, WD (Western Digital) My Book series, and Seagate FreeAgent series. If the USB harddrive support auto On/Off, then the USB harddrive should auto trun off when the MTV3000 finished recording and auto standby, and auto power on when the MTV3000 auto wake up when recording starts.
Generally we recommand a 3.5" USB harddrive with standalone power supply to use on the MTV3000. We also tested a few 2.5" USB harddrive size from 80G to 320G. Those 2.5" USB harddrives also work with the MTV3000 recording, with a "1 USB (harddrive) to 2 USB (MTV3000) cable" for the MTV3000 to supply enough power to the 2.5" USB harddrive. But we can NOT make sure all 2.5" harddrive can work on the MTV3000.
