我部 7000D Up 左去 5.08 後有個問題: o係 program guide 度選擇節目預較錄影時，按 Channel +/- 制去 Page Up/Page Down 時唔識轉去下一日，即係畫面見到 5月 23 星期一不同時段節目，按 Page Down 都只係o係同一日 cycle，唔識轉去 5月24 星期二，要按 Yellow button 加 24 hours 至得。

想問下 Li On 兄, Magic TV 可唔可以加強 排序 及 節目名 edit 功能 (最起有 英文 及 數字)?
我目標係將節目從新歸類及排序. 現時機內歸類方法, 對於我呢o的 total 有 4TB HDD o既人, 幫助唔大.
我想方便到好似 iPhone 咁, 可以一按 EDIT, 就可自由排序 (放上放落) 已錄影節目, 然後我可以係每個節目名後打入數字作爲集數, 咁就 Perfect 喇 ! 
e 家我仲用緊 TV File Editor v1.01 + MTV Explorer, 好鬼麻煩. 
希望 Magic TV 考慮考慮, Thank you.  |

係 mtv3000 到用緊 5.08beta2. 發覺 5.08beta 同 beta2 playback 時候連續 reverse skip 係有好大機會 freeze 咗個畫面 (但係有聲的), 一定要按 stop 或 live tv 停咗 playback, 再按 play 揀個個節目先會回復正常, 好麻煩. 我會 up 去 5.09beta2 繼續試, 再 report 有冇呢個問題. btw, mtv3000 有冇 ntfs hdd support? |

Dear Li On,
Will Magic TV share function support NFS or SAMBA ?
Let user to view or recored the .ts file to NAS or PC!
In the moment, All MTV STB just support yours company's exclusive sharing function.
If the user just only have one MTV STB, then this function will become useless.
Hope Magic TV share function will support NFS or SAMBA in next Beta.

the new function of using NTFS format is very useful. 
However there is a minor problem in my 7000D
when using 5.05b firmware it was fine
after upgrade to 5.07 and using for a few days the front panel started to turn off soon after turning on the stb.
but when stb is turned to standby mode the front panel turn on again to display the time
otherwise all function seems to work OK
the condition remained the same after upgrade to 5.07 and 5.08, also persisted after reboot stb or turning off the main power
I bought a new transformer of 12v and 5A and tried but it remained the same.
I asked your staff of technical support and he mentioned there is a function to control the front panel display of bright, dim or off
but I can just find bright or dim mode
so is it the firmware problem or hardware problem and how to fix it?

new feature, MagicTV Share. When there are multiple MagicTV connected on the same home network, MagicTV can play and record to other MagicTV's storage.
- all MagicTV can play and record to storage from MTV3200(S/D)/3700D/7000D
- MTV3200(S/D)/3700D/7000D can share storage to all MagicTV
- MTV3000/3100(D)/3500/3600D/5000(D) can not share storage to other MagicTV
Please enable MagicTV Share feature in Magic TV Gadgets->Network HDD
- Use Network HDD, to access shared storage from MTV3200(S/D)/3700D/7000D
- Network HDD Server, for MTV3200(S/D)/3700D/7000D to share storage to other MagicTV
*network share does not work on NTFS storage
*network share does not work on storage with bootup function
Please use LAN cable connection on MagicTV when using MagicTV Share. WiFi connection may work for playback, but may cause corruption in recording due to unstable network condition.
*recorded program from MTV7000D HDMI Input is protected and playable on the MTV7000D only, with this new beta firmware, those protected recording can be playback on any MagicTV, as long as the MTV7000D is connected on the same home network. When other MagicTV trying to play a protected file, if the MagicTV discover the MTV7000D is on the same network, it will ask the MTV7000D to provide decoding key to playback the protected file.
For MTV7000D:
- added realtime transcoding in DTV (TVB/aTV) recording, user can select Recording Quality when record a DTV program, default Recording Quality is DR (Direct Record) with original quality.
- added per Channel/Input default Recording Quality setting in Settings->Channel Recording Quality, for nowTV/CableTV/external Input, the default Recording Quality apply in live viewing mode too.
For MTV3200(S/D)/3700D/7000D:
- improve NTFS support, should work with most NTFS drive up to 2TB
*if there are NTFS HDD not detected, please report.
There will be some bugs! Please test and report. Thanks in advance! 
Also, we will release an official new firmware for MTV3000/3100(D)/3500/3600D/5000(D) ASAP.

我知 7000D 經 HDMI 錄的 file 只可在 7000D 播番。 想問吓如果 HDMI 本身冇加密 （從AV 經增線器出 HDMI ) 咁有冇呢個限制？
同埋錄 HDMI 的 file 可唔可以在第二部 7000D 播番？ 如果唔得咁 touch wood 部 7000D 壞左，咁啲舊 file 可以點播番？

I'm a MTV3000 / 5000 /7000D user, 7000D tuner seems very bad...
Even replace the PCB at Pixal Magic also 嚴重起格, any c-hing have the same experience? Thanks a lot.

Arcadeez,
While routers with WDS should be able to connect each other wirelessly, it is highly dependent on the chipset used and the router model as well. Therefore, unless your existing router already has WDS function and you are going to buy another one of the same model, there will be no guarantee that two routers with WDS capability will work with each other. As alternative, you should look for router with wireless repeater function, which does not depend on the model and chipset of the main router. As DD-WRT has already had the wireless repeater function, it is the best option available. |

Any router that supports flashing DD-WRT firmware will do. I used to have DLINK DIR-300 which costed less than $200.
You'd better check the DD-WRT website to ascertain the model supported first. |

5.08 beta bug report. (On my MTV3000)
Recorded Jurassic Park 3 at Channel 84 during weekend. When I played it back and use the rewind function (8 seconds backward), sometimes the video will freeze (but audio still plays). I need to stop the programme and play it again for it to resume normal again.
I used the 5.08 beta firmware since Easter and it is the first time I encountered this. Previously I played back other recordings from Channel 82 and 85 and did not encounter such problem at all. Maybe the problem is specific to MPEG2 channels. Please investigate. |

In your case, you can even use more than one devices to connect to home network.
Any suggestion for cheap router?

Yes. That is a tradeoff you have to select. For me, I am using a second router instead of a USB wifi stick. I configure the second router in Wireless client / repeater Bridge mode and connect the MagicTV to router using LAN cable. |

Thx. I found the beta 5.08 firmware for 3000.
I tested. There is an option to keep USB live (giving power to USB port, so that WiFi stick can work for remote recording),
but very stupid that the USB hard drive will stay online forever...
