If i use i875 mother board, which vedio card will be most suit for this
board? in HK$1400 budget. I won't use as play game and just for DVD
and 1080i move only.
What problem if can use PCI express card?

1. TV card, seems just Compro series satisfy your need
2. Motherboard, some brothers here may not agreed with me. I prefer
stable system rather than fastest system. So I like hardware which
came to market for more than one year. As you know, setting up HTPC
is not easy and I like to minimize any instability due to driver problem
or compatiblity problems. Therefore I prefer i865 or i875 chipset if I
were you. Brand like Asus, MSI and Gigabytes should be alright. Of
course you need to sacrifice a bit, like you cannot use PCI-Express
cards.

3. Divx certified player cannot play all the Divx encoded files. There are
some standards on the formats like DVD. I'm quite sure that resolution
like 1080 cannot be played on these players. |

If I were you, I will not convert the film to DVD because Ulead video
editing software has poor MPEG2 compression alogorithm. The outcome
will just like or even worse than most R3 DVD made by HK companies.
Unless you have Cinemacraft Encoder professional.

Your method is the best I think. But you need to consider the size of the
file because it is much bigger than traditional DVD. If size is a concern,
try to compress it to MPEG4/Divx of same resolution with high bitrate,
but it can be played by HTPC only.

因為我都download 咗E個HD 720P avi file, 現在正嘗試用 "Ulead DVD
Workop 2" 將它轉做DVD (16:9), 並打算再放入部 Denon 3910 用DVI-D to
DVI-D 出 720p 投射機, 睇吓放出來的效果點樣先 ....  |

DVD has fixed format, resolution must be 720x576 for PAL and 720x480
for NTSC.
If you're not using DVD-recorder and using HTPC. I'll suggest you to
use MPEG4/Divx codec. You can use any resolution you like.
However, ???how to capture the source to HTPC without D/A or A/D
conversion
May be other brothers can help. |

由於你張相片只得 720 X 576 像素, 而HD 720P 的像素為 1280 X 720,
故此睇起來有點奇怪, 而果個avi file應該無問題! 相信你用的Software只
能將HD 720P avi file轉做720 X 576 像素DVD... 
至於如何將E個avi file原汁原味地轉做1280 X 720 像素的DVD, 我都希望
D 大哥大大可以俾一D貼士哩 ....  |

can you use some software to adjust the ratio? and could Nero burn HD
movie/file to DVD or need special software? |
