Could you share your experience about disc reading capability of
these Denon DVDPs? i.e., DVD-R, China legal DVDs like: Hero, Haven
and Earth Warriors.

In order to be fair and more professional, we will set up a system
to evalue the DVD players. We will disclose which DVD which chapter
we used to review the DVD players. The testing items are as follows:
(1) overscan
(2) panning smoothness
(3) correct deinterlacing mode : 3:2 and 2:2 pulldown, video
(4) blacker than black
(5) detection of bad encoded DVD
(6) sharpness and edge enhancement
(7) dithering (dark and bright)
(8) noise level
(9) gamma and gray scale
(10) chroma bug
(11) chroma delay
(12) scaling quality |

Suggestion of the setting at 2910 and 3910:
Go to the setup menu, there is HDMI and DVI setting. Choose NORMAL
instead of Enhance. It is a kind of black level setting. We
compared:
(1) Enhance: darker black and then raise the brightness at the video
adjustment
(2) Normal: brighter black and then lower the brightness at the
video adjustment.
We find that setting of (2) giving punchier picture and we prefer
(2) setting. You can try and find which one you like. |
