sharp唔sharp固然係問題, 但都要考慮deinterlacing 同流暢度都好重要, 不過
各有各喜好, 最重要睇過自己鍾意  |

1910有picture adjustment, 用faroudja DCDi, 重要係denon大廠
V880-DX應該係用SIGMA DESIGN clips,
除非要用色差出720p/1080i, 或者係1910夾唔到機, 唔係嘅我會要1910 |

My V880 is a new one, but it is not V880N. I don't think you can buy
V880N in HK. Both DVI and Component can output 720p/1080i. I paid
$1800 and bought from Sanyo show room in WanChai. I think the
quality is very good. I key in custom resolution (1280x720) and my
Sanyo Z2 recongnized as "TRUE", not "720p". I think it is point to point.

I bought the DVI Cable from the Ground Level of Golden (The floor
where all the PS2 are selling. I forgot the name of the shop but it sell all
kinds of cables like VGA, DVI, HDMI and they have many many long long
cables for sell). I bought the one 30ft long and the price is $420. Sorry
for the late reply.  |

the dvi dual link printed..... |

Just bought 1910 yesterday. The DVI plug is DVI-D (Digital) w
HDCP. Make sure your display is also HDCP. As I upgraded from
Shinco 2 year old progressive DVDP so pretty satisfied with the DVI
performance on my sharp z201 projector.
You could visit Yau X 7/F, look for the sales guy "BV", I bought it
at $2200, referred me (the one who bought 1910 yesterday). But ask
if they have stock as it is pretty tight on first batch.

That's why I am not sure and wanted to ask ... anyway, I also heard
that the new component output are of better quality than older
generations. However, I could not verify this as I did not get 2
machines and actually, I never use component output.
It also seems like the new version can play DVD+RW (but I only saw
it somewhere in ad. and not sure about it).
Macrovision --- yes, this is a good feature too!
I think only non-famous brand names like Momitsu can have so
many "illegal" hidden functions, and NOT big brands like Denon,
Marantz, Onkyo, etc. .......  |

Alan,
My 1-year old V880 can play 720p & 1080i through component output
without any firmware upgrade. Are there some other changes in your
new version?
If your projector or plasma/LCD TV is not HDCP-compatible model, V880
should be your choice. After using my V880 a year, it still works
well but can't play DVD+RW.
Besides, V880 offers Macrovision switch off which means you can
output DVD movie signals to your DVD recorder and make your own copy
without problem. |

Bought in Mongkok HKD2,200, which is $400 more than the previous
price ... actually I got nothing for this extra $400 as I will never
use the component output. 
However, DVI output is great. Picture is clear and sharp. |
