各位大佬，Please come back to the topic, 我係退而求其次, 想用兩萬上下
聽靚版classical SACD碟, 論音質 compact disc (no matter SACD or
XRCD2) 始終不及LP， The version of classical music is my first
priority on buying disc, 有時揀到合口味version 既LP 但碟既condition
晤掂, 一係雨樣都掂但儥錢唔拓。 最近偶然機會聽Naxos 既新錄音 Swank
Lake SACD, 有感染力,動態及定位很好, 如果Previn 版本出SACD 就一定買。
請唔好waste time 係度比較SACD,CD, LP等。 Thanks 各位大佬, I just
want to know which SACD player is good for classical at around 20K
budget. |

I own about 500LPs, most of them are Classic and about 100 of
them are from local, but from these 100 LPs, I can only name
about 20s are good sound includes two Chinese opera and
records from Paula Tsui! These deductions are based on my Linn
Lp12, Linn arm and cart setup- 5 years ago!!
Most people don't like SACD because the following reasons
- too HiFi! Especially you are having a mid-fi, and mix with
power cords that increase the bass!
One of the resons I don't play LPs again is TIME and SACDs are
less "color" !
Here I don't want to start a debut between LP and SACD, but
one can be confirm is BAD source yield BAD sound, both true
for LP and SACD - no magic!!

I don't know if there is any very good sound sacd player at $2xk, but
I think a same priced cdp will sound better than a DV50s.
An average sacd cost $150(or higher if from japan or us) a reissus LP
is around $250(lower or higher, depends), second hand is around $100,
the price difference(average speaking) is not that big between LP and
sacd indeed(unless you only buy those "must have" audiophile LPs).
But, SACD still sounds as new after played a thousand times, while LP
will sound bad and die in time, in this sense, SACD(and other digital
format) seems a better investment.
Its like buying Japanese car or european car, a Toyota last forever,
an Alfa may not be able to take you to your desired destination, but
Afla is good looking and very very fun to drive, a matter of choice
only.
For me, LP is relatively cheaper to get good sound, and I am not that
crazy about ultra expensive LPs, so LP is my choice. Afterall, Hifi
is all about good sound, I can live with the bad things about LPs
(Ihave learn to ignore the pops and noise) , as long as they sound
good.
If you know you will eventually go for LP, I don't think it is wise
to spend too much on cdp or sacd player at this moment. |

heard that DV-50S has a good sound especially on SACD, any current
user can give comment please? |

LP is LP, SACD is SACD! THe most attractive part of LP is
the "body" of mid-low. Bt under tuning you can easy get this
from a quality SACD player such as TEAC-DV30S (sure DV-50S
better)!
