9600 card from the DVI port. However, if I ONLY want to connect this
component output without connecting the other VGA output to a mon or
something, the computer boot up but the component output cannot be
enable. I guess something strange happen when the card 'detect' that
I didn't connect the VGA monitor.
Anybody has a solution to this? Thank you! "
其實呢個問題係因為張card 基本上唔係預設比色差輸出
要入到去windows load 起ati d driver 先會有返畫面
之前我有張aopen D3 輸出就冇呢個問題 (tv 可以出埋bios 同dos 畫面) |

終於完成部HTPC 了...... 
大致上同之前個config 差唔多,
不過有小小野改左, 因為個筆直小左 
CPU : P4 3.0GC
CPU FAN : 原裝intel 風扇
M/B : ECS P4 PHOTON PF3 EXTREME
DISPLAY CARD : 天揚 ATI9600XT
CASE : GTR G3 (black)
POWER SUPPLY : 2theMax HE-380 3xIO
RAM : GEIL 256MB DDR400 X 2 (DUAL CHANNEL)
HD : SEAGATE SATA 160GB + SEAGATE PATA 60GB (舊有)
DVD ROM, CD-RW (舊有)
以上用左我$6100都唔駛 
用後感...
試睇WMVHD DEMO 片, 畫面好SHARP, 真係有HIGH釘FEEL
想買WHVHD DVD 碟, 不過驚唔識SET Proxy 所以唔買住
用windvd 6 睇dvd試Trimension DNM 行1920x1080 有d d 窒
轉行1280x720 好順, 出黎個畫面個立體感係強左,
不過帶左小小philips 電視feel
不過如果dvd 係有protect 果d 碟, 色差畫面就無法顯示
未裝zoomplayer+ffdshow 所以未試效果
始終部日版電視出電腦畫面都係會OVERSCAN (已經用左powerstrip)
再試
gk-3118 (1080i) vs htpc
畫面細緻度大家都差唔多
htpc 因為overscan 問題, 左右兩邊會有向內彎
所以我個人感覺睇dvd 我會選擇GK-3118 (方便, 唔駛攪咁多野就睇得)
而家都仲係初步玩部htpc, 未真正了解晒某d software,
所以如果大家唔鍾意我o既報告, 可以不理.....
不過我都想同大家討論下htpc 希望可以令到我得到更大o既樂趣

CPU : P4 3.2GC - ok
CPU FAN : COOLER MASTER AERO4 (諗緊買唔買好) - 先用原裝散熱扇，聽下係
咪好嘈同埋溫度係咪好高再考慮換都未遲，橫豎要換都係好簡單。
M/B : ECS P4 PHOTON PF3 EXTREME - ECS第一次出高檔板，好似話用了比一般
板層數更多的PCB，不過太新，穩定性暫時未知好唔好。價錢又唔係叫做平，可
以諗下第二塊。天揚有塊9CJS，係875chipset，用料好正，係一間叫Chaintech
底板名廠做。不過要HK$1,380，但係有齊round cable, 5合一card reader, 遙
控,內置7.1定係8.1sound card,鍍金背板等。睇過外國一D網站對比板評價，以
用料、性能、配件來講係超值。你可以用google.com 打9CJS搜索一下有關
review.有遙控送就慳返遙控錢，況且已有齊round cable,可以有個更簡潔機箱
空間散熱，又有card reader,唔夠用先買，又慳一筆,875chipset又有PAT功
能，內置sound card又夠勁，可以用住先睇下夠唔夠玩，夠玩就又唔駛花錢買
sound card。加上最近呢塊板由HK$1,650減到HK$1,380(未講價)，諗下喇。
DISPLAY CARD : ATI9800PRO - ok
CASE : GTR G3 - ok,祇要內籠空間唔太細有足夠地方散熱就得。
POWER SUPPLY : 400W (唔知咩牌子好 MAYBE GTR400W-CPCS) - 2the Max
3XIO, 400W以上或Antec會好D，GTR平就平，不過麻麻，電源係好緊要，唔好慳
果2,3百而用質量不佳電源而令至你套貴價系統唔穩定。
RAM : 256MB DDR400 X 2 (DUAL CHANNEL) - ok，唔夠先加，不過一定要買大
牌子。
HD : SEAGATE SATA 160GB + SEAGATE PATA 60GB (舊有) -ok
DVD ROM, CD-RW (舊有)

Hi 格古樂,
Which brand of 9800Pro display card are you going to buy? I
recommend Sapphire.
I once used the GTR Power Supply and find it to be quite noisy. Try
to take a look at those Antec power supply.
Just my opinion, hope this help.

Hi frank Hing,
Zoomplayer is a software that provide a 'framework' for you to make
your own 'HTPC' DVD player, you can construct your 'player' from some
other application : e.g. you can choose WinDVD5.0 as the Video
Filter, PowerDVD as the Audio Filter, then use Reclock as your Audio
renderer and MOST IMPORTANTLY, add ffdshow as your Post-Processing
filter. Finally, you can also choose the video renderer as Overlay or
VMR9... simply say, it 'glue' the essence of components from all
other software to give you a total DVD player solution. To me, the
most important feature is the ability to include ffdshow in the path.
I am very satisfy with WinDVD5.0 as the video filter but some friends
said NVDVD3.0 may be better... unfortuantely, I am yet to get it for
a test.... I am still looking forward to it.

For software, I would recommend using Zoomplayer Pro + WinDVD5.0 (or
better, NVDVD 3.0) for Video Filter + WinDVD5.0 for Audio Filter +
FFDSHOW and render in VMR9 (this is why we need a fast CPU and fast
RAM, this ffdshow + VMR9 is CPU hunger...)

I am also a HTPC user using pure software decode.
ATI9600XT + WINDVD5.0 + powerscript + DVI-D cable (That is all, so
far picture is acceptable )
I want to know what is the function of Zoomplayer?
NVDVD 3.0 & WINDVD5.0, which one is better?
