Anyone has tried to connect 3118 or 3050 with Pioneer or Hitachi
Plasma (1024 x 768)? How's the playback with 1080i and 720P?
I've seen it playing on Sony. The picture is smooth but looks not too
clear...any comment?  |

Can anyone suggest what is the street price of 3050? Do I need to
buy a 3250 or 3118?
By the way, my friend told me that he has found the 3050 is cost
around $5xx, and the model no. is 3050PW. Need to ask what is the
place.

The v880 used was a normal version loaded with firmware 1.1.11.
(actually, I bring mine for the test)
recently, firmware 1.1.12 was released
and I have upgraded mine.
the major improvement (against 1.1.11) was on more refined tuning
(for brightness, sharpness, satuation), i.e. in previous version, the
change is 1 step and in 1.1.12 is 0.5 step...
user of v880 should upgrade to 1.1.12 
In my mind after the test,
if your monitor got DVI input, you should ignore any component
player, go directly DVI players according to your budget.
If your monitor support component input only, 3050 or the latest 3250
is a good deal but I think Pioneer 755, 858/ Toshiba 9500 still win
3050 for DVD play back for quite a lot. |
