The key here is software. There will not be a lot of movie at the
beginning plus not all stdio will release HD-DVD until they are happy
with the encrption technology. Also, a lot of studio is still milking
a lot of money out of DVD, so there is no reason to rush into HD-DVD. |

HD-DVD is the extension of current DVD. Your existing DVD player can
still read the normal content of HD-DVD. However, if you want to
enjoy HD content of the HD-DVD, you will need to buy a HD-DVD player. |
