General speaking, I am ok with it. The price and spec. is good
except the contract is not very high, so 光位會曝光，黑位無層次 (but
this is the weakness of LCD).
For mostly watching TV, suggest to buy LCD because the life is
longer and no burn mark
For watching DVD only, suggest to buy Plasma because better picture
quality, but more expensive, burn mark, short life....
If space is not an issue, suggest to buy CRT TV and save the money
to buy somthing else. |

Go Showroom and look look the picture performance b4 making the
decision.
In my own opinion, the picture is not sharp enough and the screen
speed is a bit slow. Try Spiderman, the scene where many people
crowded and spiderman fights with the green monster. You will know
what I mentioned about.
FYI, it's assembled in China, in which the pixel plus one is from Europe. |

Most of LCD TVs in the market now have the native resolution of 1280
x 768. Thus, the screen aspect ratio is 15:9 instead of 16:9.
It's too bad that this Philips LCD TV does not support HDCP.
However, the price is really very attractive! HDCP stands for High-
Definition Content Proection. It's some kind of copy protection used
in digital video transmission.
I found that few LCD TVs have DVI input. Any other good suggestions
of LCD TVs? |
