It was a very good year

很久没有投稿来了，昨晚发了一个梦，梦见自己垂垂老矣，座在码头孤独地望海。

今天早上起来，搭上火车一按 MP3，第一首随机歌曲，正是 Ray Charles 的 《It was a very good year》…

Soul Music 教父 Ray Charles 2004 年在比华利山住所，因肝功能衰竭过身，享年 73 岁，而我听的这张 CD 是他临终前的最后一张唱片。

据坊间消息透露，Ray 由于太有钱了，所以他特别在他的家对面设立了一间录音室，并且邀请了欧美顶班歌手，与他齐齐合唱经典金曲。

可是，这个时候，Ray 的重病已经相当严重了，每天走过对面街录音的一小段路程，都显得相当吃力。

旁人着他不用那么辛苦吧，可是 Ray 却坚持要做，奇怪的是，身体非常虚弱的 Ray 一开始录音，

对着咪高峰就突然生猛起来，声线也中气十足、感情丰富。

Ray 就在他完成录音之后与世长辞，这张「遗作」大碟勇夺去年格林美 8 项大奖，

包括"Album of the Year" 及 "Record of the Year." 等，电影「Ray」中 Jimmy Foxx 也得了奥斯卡最佳男主角。

可惜的是，这些重要时刻，Ray 只能在天堂的远处感受。

这张大碟内，其中一首歌 「It was a very good year」我相当喜欢，歌词是这样的：

晚年回望，十来岁、廿来岁、三十余岁，来到现时七、八十岁，每一年都是活得很好的年，每一年都有难忘的事，所以生来无憾。

这首歌由即将到天国去的 Ray 去演译，那种充满感情、对世间依依不舍的感觉，活脱脱的流露了出来。
